Introduction
Before you begin:
- To use the Performance module in TaroWorks 7.4, your TaroWorks Administrators need to use the Salesforce Lightning Experience.
- If they are still using Salesforce Classic, you will not be able to use the performance module in TaroWorks 7.4.
There are multiple updates that need to be made to the Performance Target object. These updates will allow you to:
- Enable support for Mobile Users on Salesforce and Platform licenses in addition to mobile users on Partner Community licenses.
- Set targets for Mobile Users using profiles.
- Create custom time frames and not just weekly and monthly.
This article will cover the following:
- A. Update Page Layout - add new Update Status action.
- B. Add Layout for Job target and Performance indicator - create separate sections for the Performance Indicator and Job Target.
- C. Remove Performance Classic Tab - the performance classic tab will no longer be used in the 7.4 Performance module.
- D. Add Performance Target Tab - this replaces the old 'Performance' Tab with the new 'Performance Target' Tab for easy access so that users won't need to search for the tab from the App Launcher.
A. Update Page Layout.

Click on the gear icon at the top right-hand corner and click on Setup.
Enter "Performance Target" in the Search Set bar and select Performance Target. - Select Page Layout and select the Performance Target Layout.
- Under 'Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions' section, click on "override the predefined actions" to enable mobile actions.
- Drag Update Status quick action to the Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions section.
- Save the quick action.
B. Add Layout for Job Target and Performance Indicators.
- From the Setup menu, search and click on Performance Target in the search bar at the top of the page.
- Select Page Layout and select the Performance Target Layout.
- In the Fields tab, add a section and label Performance Indicator as the section name.
- Drag the Tracked SObject Contact Lookup Field Name, Tracked SObject API Name, Tracked Field API Name to the Performance Indicator section.
- In the Fields tab, add a section and label Job Target as the section name.
- Drag the Job field to the Job Target Section.
- Click on Save.
- Click Performance Target Layout and drag the following Quick Actions from the Performance Target Layout.
- New Contact
- New Case
- New Lead
- New Opportunity
C. Remove Performance Classic Tab.

Click on the gear icon at the top right-hand corner and click on Setup. Enter 'Profiles' in the quick find box. Edit the System Administrator profile.
- Scroll down to Tab Settings.
- Scroll to Performance and set it to Tab Hidden.
- Click Save.
- Repeat steps 1-4 for all TaroWorks User Profiles.
D. Add Performance Target Tab
- Click on the gear icon in the top right corner and click on Setup.
- Enter "App" in the Quick Find box and select App Manager.
- Scroll down to "TaroWorks", click the downward-facing arrow on the right and click Edit.

Scroll down to "Choose the Tabs". Select Performance Target from "Available Tabs" Column and add it to "Selected Tabs" Column.
Choose "Performance" from "Selected Tabs" Column and add it to "Available Tabs" Column.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save.
