02. Create a Permission set for API and Apex REST Access

With TaroWorks’ expanded support for Customer Community licenses, all users on these licenses require access to the API Enabled and Apex REST Services system permissions.
This step is mandatory if your TaroWorks Mobile Users are migrating to Customer Community Licenses; otherwise, skip to Upgrade TaroWorks on Mobile Device if they need to move to TaroWorks 7.6.

To grant these permissions efficiently, you can create a dedicated permission set. 

This article provides step‑by‑step guidance to help you set up the permission set and ensure your TaroWorks Mobile Users have the required access.

1. Click Setup.

2. Type Permission into the Quick Find. Select Permission Set and click New.

   

3. Add the Label and description. Click Save.(Name: API & Apex REST for Customer Community Users Description: Grants API Enabled and Apex REST Services permissions required for TaroWorks MObile Users on Customer Community licenses.)

   

4. Scroll down to the System section and click System Permissions. 

   

5. Click Edit, scroll down and check Apex REST Services and API Enabled Checkboxes. Click Save.

   

6. Click Save.

   

7. Ensure that you assign this permission set to all TaroWorks Mobile Users who will be assigned the Customer Community Licenses.
