What's New

• Android 12 & 13 support on TaroWorks mobile
• Mobile UI Improvements - updated TaroWorks mobile application's style and color palette to match the rest of the company's resources
• Lightning performance - Performance tab available in Lightning web components with support for TaroWorks Mobile Users on Salesforce & Platform licenses as well as the ability to customize time frames (not just weekly & monthly time frames as has been the case previously)
  • **IMPORTANT** Customers who utilize the performance module are advised to extensively test TaroWorks v7.4 in their sandbox prior to upgrading production. Be sure to familiarize with all known issues below.
• Force live photo - Administrator can prevent TaroWorks Mobile Users from uploading images to specific photo questions
• Geo shapes - Ability for TaroWorks Mobile Users to create a geo shape, for instance of the farmer's forest garden, in Salesforce with internet connection required for syncing only
• Dynamic Operations Improvement - A new checkbox “Run Hidden Dynamic Operations” added at the form level to specify whether dynamic operations should be run or not for hidden questions
• Miscellaneous Improvement - Ability for TMU to see all characters on the DDH (30 characters limit removed) and use of special characters (e.g. &) is now supported

Known Issues

General

• When logging in, the community site URL must match the exact value found in Salesforce for the TaroWorks Community under Setup > All Communities. See this page with Tips and Tricks.
• If device view rotates during use of TaroWorks (moving from vertical to horizontal view and vice versa), some views might not appear correctly.  We suggest turning off Device Rotation during TaroWorks use.
• TaroWorks does not support 64 bit architectures running Android 5.0.x. To resolve this, upgrade your device(s) to Android 5.1. IBTFF-1859.
• We have had several customers have issues with Tecno phones and tablets of varying models. Issues include frequent breakdowns, poor battery life and incompatibility with TeamViewer. If possible, we'd recommend you avoid this make. IBTFF-1894.
• After clicking Forgot Password and then trying to enter new Password, the Partner Community opens up instead of TaroWorks app. Issue resolves if you try again. IBTFF-2173
• When language is changed mid-use, application must be re-launched to see translations IBTFF-3205
• Some keyboards do not have a separate button for '-'. In order to enter negative number, Double-click on '.-' button or install another keyboard
• Image compression fails on some phone models preventing Mobile Users from syncing. When this happens, the solution is to delete the images or manually compress them. IBTFF-3244
• TaroWorks app crashes when a Mobile User tries to select image for a photo question from SD card, in Android 6 device IBTFF-3254
• Photo and Signature don't work in a sandbox instance, the wrong path recorded IDALMSA-3702, IDALMSA-9956
• For geolocation details to be embedded reliably on images taken live on TaroWorks mobile devices, the User should be in open space and not indoors IBTFF-3586
• Photos remain on some devices(Tecno) after associated Job is synced successfully to Salesforce. Workaround is to use Best Camera app for capturing photo in TaroWorks app . IBTFF-3626
  
• Sync success and sync failure notifications don't get removed from the notifications tray even after they are clicked on notifications, on devices below Android 8.
• If the date device is backdated by 1 year, error 80003 will show on sync and error 80000 will show on log out. IBTFF-3747
• It takes 5 seconds to capture and save an image using Samsung Devices on android 11. IBTFF-4397
  
• When MU answer photo type question in regular section, MU returns back to top of the form page instead of returning back to that specific question on some devices not specific to an Android version. IBTFF-4491
• "Too Many DML Rows: 10001" Error displayed when user tries to update more than 10,000 records IDALMSA-10628
• Some Mobile Users cannot see records on Mobile when DDH starts at a level below record assignment while there are multiple look up paths IDALMSA-8597

Cascading Select

• Answers for a cascading select questions are not saved when you leave and return to question if there is blank space in the option.  IBTFF-919.
• [ODK issue] When navigating to a Cascading select question from the View Index, User is moved to selected, empty level of Cascading Select instead of the first level without answer IBTFF-2302

Login, Authentication and Sync

• App may crash if you run out of storage on your device.  IBTFF-1059
• An unexpected error is seen if the 'Allow' button is clicked more than once during the login process. IBTFF-2413

Jobs and Forms

• Mobile User cannot edit Jobs where sync was attempted and photos or signatures have been added. IBTFF-1715
• Response Validation will not run on questions that have been task mapped with a value from the Job's drill-down hierarchy.
• If a whole number question has been field mapped to a decimal field in Salesforce, any value passed from the drill-down hierarchy will not populate and the answer cannot be synced.  IBTFF-2376
• Sync error when offline record is created in one Job and later referenced in a Job where drill-down hierarchy starts with Contact object IBTFF-3196 
• TaroWorks APK cannot be dragged and dropped on NoX player (Android version 7) but can be installed via Google Browser IBTFF-3243
• Last digits of the number, currency and percent are replaced with 0 if the length is greater than 15 IBTFF-3279
• Missing Expected Contact records in DDH when there is no account value IBTFF-3338
• If a users uses contextual menu to Go to End of Form, skipping over the hidden Dynamic Operation calculation with our offline ID generating function, user will receive an error that a required field is blank.
• TaroWorks does not support polymorphic lookups fields found in some standard objects such as Task and Event. When these objects are used on DDH, no records will be visible. IBTFF-3581
• TaroWorks App crashes when user tries to click Next on first question of 1st task of job with multiple HDDs (more than 3 HDD) each with more than 3 levels some android versions(Android 7&8).  IBTFF-3758.
• New! Full job title name does not display on mobile, when job title name is more than 30 character IBTFF-5164
• New! Captured Geoshape disappears when MU change the device orientation IBTFF-5170
• New! When MU click on view index button, for geoshape questions, the response saved is lengthy and in a format that isn't easily consumable and the same is also displayed after syncing on SF side form result page instead of a thumbnail IBTFF-5161
• New! TMU is able to save a geoshape with 0 value for both the area and perimeter and it is flagged as a valid shape IBTFF-5159
• New! When TMU deletes multiple saved locations using the delete button, some geo points data appear to not be deleted because the lines remain in some cases (especially on slow devices) IBTFF-5153 | IBTFF-5152

Performance Management

• Performance Update Time is wrong for some of the timezones if time zones have Daylight Savings.  IBTFF-829.

Tabular Format and Repeat Sections

• Answers on Text questions are not visible in a Tabular Format repeat section on screens with pixel density below 160.
• TaroWorks breaks when a user scrolls on unlimited tabular repeat section when black header with drill down is visible in horizontal device position. IBTFF-2280
• Skipping the Mark Complete view and moving to previous questions in job with limited repeat section results in an incorrect repeat section IBTFF-2467
• Unexpected behavior occurs on job when all questions in repeat/tabular section are hidden via logic or 'hidden' checkbox IBTFF-2507
• Recommendation : Do not collect more than 100 iterations of repeat section to avoid unexpected behavior. IBTFF-3427
• New! Location text not displaying all lines on Mobile for location question in tabular repeat section IBTFF-5195

Emulators

• TW app permissions are being enabled by default (the permissions window is not seen as a part of installation), and if the user goes to disable them in application settings, Nox just re-enables them. IBTFF-3522

Accessibility

• It is not possible to draw a signature when the Android Talkback feature is enabled IBTFF-3953.
•  When Talkback is enabled on the Samsung J2 Android 5 device:
  • • It is not possible to click on Play button (Select to Speak) IBTFF-3947 
    • MU not able to enter Login Credentials IBTFF-3946 
• There are several issues with the TaroWorks App Accessibility such as in the Login Page and Allow Access Page where labels do not meet the recommended height and required contrast rations are not met. IBTFF-3969.

• New! Short press (to launch dial pad) and long press (to copy the number) functionalities work intermittently on DDH when talk back is enabled
