You may see date or timestamp fields on your responses when you click the response counts in the Form Manager or if you examine TaroWorks objects associated with the data coming in from the field. To use this data to analyze field officer activities, the definitions for these fields are as follows:
Submissions Object
Date - This is the date taken from the device when the user clicks "New Job". This is also displayed when you click on the response count for a form in the form manager.
startDate - This is the timestamp taken from the device when the user opens the Collect Data Task. If the Job was saved, and this task was edited later, this value will not be updated. This is also displayed when you click on the response count for a form in the form manager.
endDate - This is the timestamp taken from the device when the Collect Data Task was last marked complete. If the Job was saved, and the Collect Data Task edited and Marked Complete again later, this value will be updated. This is also displayed when you click on the response count for a form in the form manager.
Job Activities Object
Creation Date - This is the date taken from the device when the user clicks "New Job" upon starting a new job.
Start Date - This is the timestamp taken from the device when the user opens the first task of a Job. If the Job was saved, and edited later, this value will not be updated.
End Date - This is the timestamp taken from the device when the Job was last marked complete. If the Job was saved, and edited later this value is be updated.
Task Activities Object
Start Date - The timestamp taken from the device when the user last entered the Task. If the Job was saved, and the Task was re-entered later, this value will be updated.
End Date - The timestamp taken from the device when the user last exited the Task. If the Job was saved, and the Task was re-entered later, this value will be updated.
Note: If you want to use this data in your reporting with your custom objects, it would be useful to create a lookup relationship from your custom object to the Submission object and map it accordingly in your forms. This way, you can easily associate submission data with the records created/edited in your custom objects.
