Introduction
Often in a data collection task, there is need to record an audio of an interview or record a part of the interview. With the audio question, you will need to add 2 questions: Start Audio and Stop Audio as single, separate questions.

How to Add an Audio Question |
- Edit an existing draft Form or start a new one. Go to the Question Builder tab.
- On the left margin, click Media Question, then click Audio to add the first question to Start Audio to the bottom, or click and drag it to insert into your Form.
- Enter a Caption. Add Supporting text and check Required as desired.
- Scroll to Advanced Operations and under Media Upload Folder GDrive Link, add the Google Drive folder link to store & sync the Audio file in Google Drive.
- Under Media Audio Capture State, select Require Audio Capture Started.
- Click Save to save the Audio Start Question.
- Repeat Steps 2-4 to add the second audio question to Stop Audio next to the Start Audio question or at the bottom of the Form if recording the whole audio of the Form.
- Under Media Audio Capture State, select Require Audio Capture Ended.
- Click Save to save the Audio Stop Question.
Scoring
- Scoring is not available for Audio questions.
Logic
- You can not apply logic to an audio question.
Field Mapping
- Compatible field types for mapping are:

Passing Values through Hierarchy Drill Down
- It is not possible to pass values from fields in the Drill Down Hierarchy into an audio question.
How to Answer an Audio Question in the Device |
- When you reach a start audio question, click the Record Sound button.
- The mobile device microphone is activated, showing that audio recording is ongoing.
- To end the audio, scroll to the Stop Audio question and click Stop Recording and Save button.
Notes:
- You must map the Stop Audio question to Salesforce for the audio file to be saved in Google Drive.
- The audio question type is required by default; it is not optional once you add it to the Form.
- All audio questions can only be saved in Google Drive.
- TaroWorks Mobile Users with Jobs that contain audio questions must sign in to the respective Google Account under GDrive sync settings to be able to sync the completed Jobs.
