Introduction
Often in a data collection task, there is need to record a video of an interview. With the video question, you can also restrict mobile users to only capture a live video and not use old videos or videos from the gallery.
This document will detail how to add a video question to your Form and how to answer it on a mobile device.

How to Add a Video Question |
- Edit an existing draft Form or start a new one. Go to the Question Builder tab.
- On the left margin, click Media Question, then click Video to add the question to the bottom, or click and drag it to insert into your Form.
- Enter a Caption. Add Supporting text and check Required as desired.
- Scroll to Advanced Operations:
- Check the Require Live Video if you want to restrict users from reusing old videos or videos from the Gallery.
- Check the Preserve Live Media Files After Upload to keep a copy of the video on the mobile device after syncing.
- Check the Limit the length of live recorded video files to limit the length of a live video, and set the length of the video under the Live Media Duration Seconds.
- Under Media Upload Folder GDrive Link, add the Google Drive folder link to store & sync the Audio file in Google Drive.
- Check the Require Live Video if you want to restrict users from reusing old videos or videos from the Gallery.
- Click Save to save the Video Question.
Scoring
- Scoring is not available for video questions.
Logic
- You can not apply logic to a video question.
Field Mapping
- Compatible field types for mapping are:

Passing Values through Drill Down Hierarchy
- It is not possible to pass values from fields in the Drill Down Hierarchy into a video question.
How to Answer a Video Question in the Device |
- When you reach a video question, click the Record Video button.

If the limit of the video recording is set, the recording counts to the set time and automatically stops when the set duration is reached.
- If there is no limit set, then the recording runs until the user stops it.

Notes:
- If the limit of the video recording is set, then the video recording automatically stops when the duration is reached, and the user is prompted to confirm and save the video.
- All video files can only be stored in Google Drive.
- TaroWorks Mobile Users with Jobs that contain video questions must sign in to the respective Google Account under GDrive sync settings to be able to sync the completed Jobs.
