Introduction
To utilize the additional license types supported in TaroWorks 7.3.X, you will need to make updates to the TaroWorks Mobile User Object. These updates will enable you to create your mobile users on external licenses such as Partner Community Licenses or on internal licenses such as the Salesforce and Platform Licenses.
This article will cover the following:
- A. Set up Profiles to be selected - To add custom profiles related to Salesforce or Platform Licenses.
- B. Set up License type to be selected - To allow the user to skip selecting record type and instead select license type.
- C. Troubleshooting Tips - tips when working with standard profiles for TaroWorks Mobile Users in an Org with multilingual.
A. Set up Profiles
- Go to Setup.
- Click Object Manager.
- Search for TaroWorks Mobile User Object.
- Click Fields & Relationships.

Quick Find the field Profile (API Name : Profile__c) and Click on the FieldName.

Scroll down to Values>Click on New.
- Add the values for the profiles to be used by your internal TaroWorks Mobile Users.
- Below is a list of standard profiles that are supported based on their license type.
Note :
If using a different language in your instance, you will need to add the translated picklist values for these profiles and also ensure that Translation Workbench is enabled. Below is a list of standard profiles translated to French and Spanish.- Administrador del sistema

- Administrador del contrato

- Administrateur système

- Below is a list of standard profiles that are supported based on their license type.
- Select the Users checkbox under Record Type Name. Click Save.
B. Set up License Type

Go To Setup > Object Manager.

Search for TaroWorks Mobile User Object.
- Click Buttons, Links, and Actions.

Click New>Edit.
- Under Lightning Experience Override, SelectLightning Component
Select> gfsurveys: TaroworksMobileUSerDetailComponent
Check 'Skip record type selection page checkbox. - Click Save.
Note : The user will now be prompted to select the license type for the new TaroWorks Mobile User being created.
C. Troubleshooting
- For translated profile picklist values, if there are no multilingual users in the org, do not add them as values in the Profile field.
- If the translated picklist profile values are added are not going to be used for TaroWorks Mobile Users, they will be visible in the picklist while creating a new TaroWorks Mobile User. If a backend user selects one of these translated values they will hit the below error.
- If the profile selected is not in the current language of the user, the backend user will get the above error when trying to create a TaroWorks Mobile User.
- If the translation setting is NOT enabled in an org, and the user is using a different language other than English, picklist values will be displayed on the TaroWorks Mobile User tab, but will not be available in the translation workbench.
