04. Permission Sets

Prior to TaroWorks Enterprise 2.0, a TaroWorks Mobile User needed to be assigned the TW ENT Permission For Partner User permission set in order to access TaroWorks Enterprise objects. Once assigned to a user, they can undertake TaroWorks Enterprise functionality like viewing, creating, or updating Warehouses, Inventories, Orders, and Adjustments.

With TaroWorks Enterprise 2.0, new permission sets were created for each persona in the Inventory Management and Order fulfillment system. These TaroWorks Enterprise permission sets are defined below:

1. TWENT Administration - This permission set assigns all the permissions required for a user to perform all functions in the Taroworks Enterprise package.
2. TWENT Purchasing - This permission set assigns all permissions to a user so that they can create and process Purchase orders.
3. TWENT Sales - This permission set assigns all permissions to a user so that they can create and process Sales orders.
4. TWENT Inventory Management - This permission set assigns all permissions to a user so that they can create and process Transfer orders, and create and manage inventories.
5. TWENT Read Only - This permission set allows the user to view all objects and records related to Taroworks Enterprise.
   
   
   

You can now assign specific permission set(s) to a TaroWorks Mobile User so that they can access TaroWorks Enterprise functionality.

Note:

1. All users, who shall be assigned these TaroWorks Enterprise permission sets, should also have access to Standard Salesforce objects like Product, PriceBooks, and PriceBook Entries.
2. These Permission sets are not editable as they are a part of the TaroWorks Enterprise managed package.
   If you have custom fields on the TaroWorks Enterprise objects that the mobile user needs access to, we recommend creating another permission set granting access to these custom fields and assigning both permissions sets to the user. I.e. The TaroWorks Enterprise permission set for standard packaged fields, and the other custom permission set for the custom fields.
3. When either the TWENT Purchasing, TWENT Sales, or TWENT Inventory Management permissions set is assigned to a user, they will be able to process existing Purchase, Sales, or Transfer orders. This is because the same fields are used on all Taro Orders and Taro Order Line Items.
   
4. The Salesforce Platform license is incompatible with TaroWorks Enterprise.
