03. Confirm/Update Permissions

Introduction

Due to a known issue with Salesforce Packaging, some permissions may be incorrect on upgrade. Specifically the organization-wide defaults for your TaroWorks objects (if your external sharing model is enabled), and your profile access to a particular object could be affected. These steps will help you validate your permissions are correct.

Before you begin:

• You must be on TaroWorks version 5.1. If not, please upgrade to version 5.1.X first.
• Retrieve your list of TaroWorks objects that you had previously set to "Private" in your sharing settings (Step 1 of Article 1)

Permissions for Mobile Users

1. Navigate to Setup > Profiles.
2. For each profile accessing the TaroWorks mobile app, click Edit next to the profile name (example: TaroWorks Partner User).
3. Confirm/Update the SObjects Contact Associations object to have Read Access.

Permissions for Back-end TaroWorks Users

1. Navigate to Setup > Profiles.
2. For each profile accessing the TaroWorks app within Salesforce, click Edit next to the profile name (example: TaroWorks User).
3. Confirm/Update the SObjects Contact Associations object to have Read, Create, Edit and Delete Access.

Organization-wide Defaults

1. Navigate to Setup > Sharing Settings.
2. If you had changed the default sharing settings of TaroWorks objects, please refer to the list you created of private objects from Article 1, Step 1 and make all other objects Public  in your external sharing settings.
