Salesforce will no longer support Workflow Rules and Process Builder as of December 31, 2025. After December 31, 2025, Workflow Rules and Process Builder will continue to function and execute existing automation, but customer support will no longer be available, and bugs will not be fixed.
Salesforce recommends implementing a plan to migrate any active rules or processes to Flow Builder before the deadline. This article outlines the steps to perform the migration to flow builder.
A. Migrate Workflow Rules
- Click on the gear icon in the top right-hand corner and click on Setup.
- Enter "Workflow Rules" in the Quick Find box, then select Workflow Rules.
- You might be shown a page explaining what Salesforce Workflow is. Click Continue.
- Click Migrate your workflow rules to flows link.
- Select the Workflow to migrate. Click Migrate to Flow.
- Click Close.
- Click on the gear icon in the top right-hand corner and click on Setup. Enter "Flows" in the Quick Find box, then select Flows.

Select the Flow. Click Activate.
Note: Before activating the flow, ensure you deactivate the workflow rule first.
B. Migrate Process Builders
- Click on the gear icon in the top right-hand corner and click on Setup.
- Enter "Migrate to Flow" in the Quick Find box, then select Migrate to Flow.
- Select the Process to migrate. Click Migrate to Flow. Note: The list contains both Processes and Workflow rules.
- Select criteria to migrate. Click Migrate to Flow.
- Click Done.
- Test the flow, deactivate the process first, and then activate the flow.
