How do I migrate Forms and Jobs between Salesforce Instances/Orgs using TaroWorks?

Introduction

Your organization may employ sandboxes to work on and test changes to your organizations before pushing them to production. Since your TaroWorks Jobs and Forms are not Salesforce metadata, they cannot be deployed using change sets. 

Starting TaroWorks 7.4, you can use TaroWorks application to migrate Forms & Jobs from Sandbox to Production and vice versa.

A. Migration of Forms - Migrate one Form at a time. TaroWorks Admin can migrate any Form version.

B. Migration of Jobs - Migrate one Job at a time.

A. Migration of Forms

1. Go to the TaroWorks Forms Page.
   
2. On the Form to export, click More Actions. Select the preferred file format, JSON or XLS to download the latest Form version only.
   
3. To download a specific Form Version, open the Form Preview page. Select the Form Version and download the preferred file format.
   
4. Go to the Forms Page of the second instance. Click Import Form button.
   
5. Select the Form to import. Click ok.
   

B. Migration of Jobs

1. Go to the TaroWorks Jobs Page.
   
2. On the Job to export, click More Actions. Select the preferred file format, JSON or XLS to download the Job.
   
3. Go to the Jobs page, of the second instance. Click Import Job button.
   Note: Jobs export/download is available on the jobs page view ONLY.
   
4. Select the Job to import. Click Ok.
   

C. Notes

• Import Forms first before the Job.
• There is automatic mapping of the imported Jobs to the related Forms.
  • The app does a "best guess" name match when you import a Form and then a Job. However, it is recommended that you crosscheck after.
    
• Forms & Jobs can be downloaded across all statuses: draft, updating, published, and closed.
• All imports will be in draft status by default.
• Exporting a form from an org and importing it back to the same org is like cloning but this allows import of previous versions while cloning limits to the latest version only.
  
• If exporting and importing the same Job in the same instance, you must refresh the page before importing.
• Upsert and/or update of existing Forms is not supported (Inserting newer versions of existing Forms)
  • Any time a user imports the downloaded Forms, a new Form will be created each time and upsert and/or update of existing Forms will not be supported.
    
• If a user tries to import a Form and/or Job that references objects that do not exist in the org they are trying to import them to, the user will hit an error and import will fail.
• Export and import of cascading select, logic, field mapping and scoring will work within the same org and across orgs.
